BioPandemonium Big Band began out of necessity.
Since 2006, Elliot Deutsch directed the Los Angeles-based jazz collective Elliot Deutsch Big Band. This 17 musician ensemble performed frequently at venues around the city including Catalina's, Vitello's, and the recently shuttered Blue Whale Jazz Club and The Jazz Bakery. Playing predominantly Deutsch's exciting, boisterous repertoire, Elliot Deutsch Big Band quickly became a staple of the Los Angeles jazz scene. As we all know, everything shut down in March 2020... and live music has yet to return. Like many ensembles, Elliot Deutsch Big Band turned to the burgeoning scene that is remote performance. Through 2020 Deutsch proved time and time again that his team of musicians and engineers are indeed world-class. Reformed as Pandemonium Big Band, the virtual ensemble released an unmatched 9 performances to their YouTube channel., cementing the band as a force to be reckoned with. |
